Information system with historical flood information; the example of the SPHERE
Intégration de l'information historique dans un système d'information : l'exemple du projet SPHERE

Computer scientists from LSR-IMAG are working in collaboration with historians and hydrologists, in the framework of the european SPHERE project, in order to provide an information system with historical flood information. This paper presents the aims of the future tool .It gives a description of the data, then a presentation of the different levels of data request, and finally specific items linked with historical analysis.
Le projet européen SPHERE est l'occasion pour les informaticiens du laboratoire LSR-IMAG de travailler auprès des historiens et hydrologues en vue de la mise au point d'un système d'information historique sur les crues et inondations. Cet article présente les objectifs auxquels doit répondre l'outil à concevoir dans le cadre du projet SPHERE, et les interrogations qu'il soulève. Nous décrivons dans un premier temps le type d'information à manipuler, puis les différents niveaux de consultation de la base de données et les spécificités liées à l'information historique.
