Les typologies de faciès alimentaires pour les cervidés : application à la forêt domaniale de Perseigne (Sarthe)

Abstract : Taking into account cervids into forest management requires a tool to assess the carrying capacity, and more specifically food availability. By building and using a typology of dietary facies before the establishment of a new forest management plan, we can characterize food availability at the beginning and predict their spatial and temporal evolution during the management plan (20 years). We developed the methodology to elaborate the typology and then we discussed a case study in the Perseigne state forest, a forest with sympatric populations of red and roe deer.
