La composante ethnique de la consommation par le consentement à payer : quels résultats, quelles perspectives ?

Abstract : This article uses the results of an on-line survey administered by the Record of the Day magazine in order to collect the amounts of the price which the fans of the rock group Radiohead paid for the downloadable version of their album In rainbow through an independent website in last October. The commercial strategy built by the group provoked a real earthquake in the sector of the music. The article takes back the calculation of the average amount of the prices paid by internet users and analyzes this result in connection with the comments they left to address the relevance of labelling based on ethical business as one of the organizational forms that will govern a segment of the digital market for music. It ends on common perspectives for researches on empirical methods for the revelation of individual preference in management sciences and economics to address ethical consumerism.
