Pressure-Swirl Atomization Modelling using the Eulerian Approach
Modélisation de l'atomisation d'un spray swirlé utilisant l'approche Eulerienne
Résumé
This paper presents an Eulerian approach to model pesticide atomization for a swirling flow. The model is based on the classical fluid mechanics transport equation for mass, momentum, turbulence and liquid dispersion. The transport equation for mean liquid/gas interface density is used to estimate the Sauter Mean Diameter. The numerical results of the Eulerian model are compared to the experimental data obtained by Phase Doppler Anemometry.
