Sustainable forest management is a goal that is thought for in Sweden, from local level all the way up to the gouvernmental level. But what does sustainable management mean? How can we define sustainable management? And how well are the criteria used today to evaluate sustainable forest management working, and they so called indicators that intend to measure whether the objectifs of the criteria are met? These are the questions discussed by the authors in this article.
