Role of unmanaged forest stands for the conservation of forest bio-complexity
We present the relationships between stand maturity variables (e.g. deadwood, microhabitats), taxonomic diversity and stand management status (managed versus unmanaged). Perennial unmanaged stands are usefull to biodiversity conservation, in addition to the conservation of maturity variables within managed stands.
