Mesure des flux d’éléments traces (Pb, Cd, As, Cu, Zn) dans les sols, végétaux, porcs et lisiers des exploitations porcines du Sud-Ouest

Abstract : The potential transfer and accumulation of metallic trace elements (MTE) through the different stages of the pork food chain were studied in a research program. In the first phase, the dynamics of trace elements was studied within farms combining crops and pig production in the Southwest of France. Analytical work had enabled a validation of the analytical determination of elements in total and the development of an analytical method of arsenic speciation. During the second phase of the study, the flow of MTE along the pork food chain was quantified, distinguishing the animal system (feed - animal tissues - manure) and the soil -plant system. The flow of MTE from soil to growing plants was estimated using a corn plant model. An experiment was conducted to measure the transfer of MTE from feed to pig body tissues.
