Étude de l’efficacité de différentes souches de trichogrammes vis-à-vis de Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) en serres expérimentales

Abstract : The invasive tomato pest Tuta absoluta still spreads in the mediterranean basin and seriously damage tomato crops. Biological control methods currently used involve the exotic oophagous parasitoid Trichogramma achaeae that is expensive to rear. Autochthonous Trichogramma strains with a similar efficiency but a less expensive mass rearing had be found. French strains harvested in tomato crops have been tested in greenhouse experiments, against T. absoluta. Four strains tested showed parasitism rates nearly similar to T. achaeae ones. The efficiency of native strains decreases with increase of the distance between infested tomato plant and Trichogramma release point. This distance does not affect significantly T. achaeae parasitism in this experimental setting design
