Commerce international et référentiels volontaires de contrôle sanitaire en Europe

Abstract : Private standard proliferation is a big issue for both the organisation and activities in food supply chains. There is little discussion in the literature on the impact of private standards on export/ import strategies in developed countries where food operators must also comply with private standard requirements. . Private standards help retailers to better integrate all upstream steps of food supply chains. This chapter deals with exporters and importers strategies from Northern countries. We more specifically focus on how private standards modify food supply chains, avoiding for instance trade intermediaries.
