Malaria

Despite continuous prevention and treatment efforts, malaria remains the deadliest infectious disease in the world. Nonetheless, hope for the future was recently brought by the rapid development of genomics, whose applications have immense potential to create powerful tools to fight malaria and its causing parasite. The affordability of these tools renders possible their use in every part of the world, including developing countries where malaria is endemic. The march toward optimized treatments against malaria has started.
