Information-driven coordination: experimental results with heterogeneous individuals
Résumé
In this paper, the authors study experimentally a coordination game with N heterogeneous individuals under different information treatments. They search for the minimal information necessary for the coordination on a Pareto optimal equilibrium, through a gradual decrease of the information content provided to the players in successive experiments. They observe that, with strictly private information, a successful coordination is possible, although not on a Pareto optimal equilibrium. Results are modelized through simple reinforcement-based learning rules. (A paraître dans Theory and Decision)
