Site-directed mutagenesis of wheat 9 kDa lipid transfer protein (LTP)

Résumé

Wheat 9 kDa LTP and four mutants were produced in Escherichia coli and compared with wheat-extracted LTP. Only the Y79 mutant was affected in lipid-binding activity, confirming the position of this residue in the three-dimensionnal structure of the protein.
