The autotransporter secretion system
Résumé
The type V secretion system includes the autotransporter family, the two-partner system and the Oca family. The autotransporter secretion process involving first the translocation of the precursor through the inner membrane and then its translocation through the outer membrane via a pore formed by a β-barrel is reviewed.
