PICA: an ‘agri-game’ on yield sampling to inform winegrowers of the value of spatial data

While the value of high-resolution remote sensing data for viticulture has already been demonstrated, very few winegrowers use them in their decision-making process at the plot level. Apart from the price, this is mainly due to a lack of awareness of the advantages and limitations of these data. This paper aims to present a tool, PICA, whose ambition is to serve as a support for discussion and interaction around these data with practitioners. PICA is an agri-game that uses a practical viticulture operation, yield estimation, to make professionals see all the benefits of these data. The game will be deployed on a demonstration site for numerical tools within a commercial vineyard.
