Simplified modeling for elastic analysis of a floating body in heave motion

In the present work, a numerical modeling procedure is proposed for response analysis of elastic bodyfloating in water and submitted to regular waves. An equivalent simplified mechanical SDOF system allowing toreproduce the heave movements is first developed, then the obtained lumped characteristics are used for elasticanalysis of the floating body in heave motion.
