VALEUR ALIMENTAIRE DE L'HIBISCUS CHEZ DES LAPEREAUX ÉLEVÉS EN AMBIANCE TROPICALE OU TEMPÉRÉE: Premiers résultats
Résumé
Four groups of 6 young rabbits were kept during 8 weeks under tropical (25° C to 35° C : T and HT groups) or under temperate conditions (18° C to 20° C : and HC groups). The T and C groups were fed a standard commercial diet ad libitum; the HT and HC groups received in addition ad libitum a green fodder : Hibiscus rosa-sinensis. Under temperate conditions the hibiscus daily intake is increased (15.5 vs9.1 g DM), but the total DM intake of this HC group is decreased by 24 % when compared to the HT group.
The digestibility of the whole diet is not significantly affected by temperature or by the hibiscus intake. But rabbits receiving hibiscus don't adjust the energy intake to their needs. Then the weight daily gain is decreased by 20 % to 40 %.
For an hibiscus daily intake representing 10 %of the total DM daily intake, the proposed values for this green fodder are : digestible energy 2120 kcal/kg DM, digestible proteins 6 % DM and non-digestible crude fiber 16 % DM
