Phenotype and genotype data sharing

Abstract

The ability to efficiently share and publish data, and especially phenotype and genotype data, following the FAIR principles is a challenging objective that has been encompassed by the Plant community, and especially in European infrastructures like Emphasis and Elixir. This lead to the conception of several mean for data sharing, with a focus on Plant phenotyping data standards through MIAPPE ( www.miappe.org ) and the Breeding API ( www.brapi.org ). Those are used in the datadiscovery services and portal proposed by Elixir and the WheatIS. We will here review the latest advances on MIAPPE, including its improved modelisation and mapping to standards like ISA-Tab and BrAPI and two data discovery services proposed by Elixir to the global Plant community, on generic elaborating wheatis and one BrAPI based for improved Phenotype and Genotype search.
