Rhizanthella gardneri, l'orchidée souterraine

Abstract : Rhizanthella gardneri, an extremely rare orchid of Western Australia, is almost unique in the plant kingdom because its entire life cycle including flowering occurs underground. This article describes some of the surprising characteristics of this orchid from its life style to its genetics.
