Incidence d'une déficience en fibres alimentaires sur l'écosystème cæcal du lapereau. Modulation par l'apport de levures probiotiques.

Abstract : The effect of a fibre deficiency combined with a yeast supplementation (S. cerevisiae) was analysed on the cæcal ecosystem of the young rabbit from at 36 and 58 days age, with a bifactorial experimental design (2x2): concentration in fibre (fibre deficient=9% ADF vs 19% ADF for control diet), and yeast addition or not (10g/kg Biosaf® yeast, i.e 107CFU/gDM). The fibre deficiency increased the cæcal pH (+0.3 units) at 36d and the ammonia level at 58d (+135%), but it did not affect the cæcal redox potential, nor the diversity or the structure of bacterial communities (CE-SSCP method). Yeast supplementation had no major effect on the biotope (pH, Eh, NH3) or on the cæcal bacterial community structure. However, the yeast tended to increase the bacterial biodiversity by 9% (P=0.06) compared to the control.
