Design of asymptotic observers to estimate parameters of systems that are not asymptotically identifiable

Abstract

We propose the derivation of asymptotic observers for the estimation of parameters of systems whose solutions converge to a set of steady-states that are not identifiable, under some hypotheses. The proposed observer generalizes a former work for batch bioprocess. It is illustrated on a two dimensional models, and its performance is compared with the least squares method.
