The Lignocost book: a simple and comprehensive electronic knowledge book on lignin sources, availability, characteristics and properties for the future applications

Résumé

The main objective of the LignoCOST European action CA 17128 is to jointly establish a network in which relevant information packages are produced with a focus on sustainable lignin production and valorisation at industrial level. The LignoCOST action has been structured in 5 working groups (WG) of which WG1 is dedicated to the development and implementation of an open access web tool, available on the internet, focused on relevant lignin informations for technical lignin valorization. The tool is constituted of several integrated web modules, accessible through direct specific hyperlinks https://plastic-apps.transform.inrae.fr/lignocost or from the Lignocost website portal https://lignocost.eu/. * The first module is a keyword searchable bibliographic database on lignins, hosted by the WUR library (https://library.wur.nl/WebQuery/lignin?collection=lignine) * The second module is an integrated graphical representation i/ of the main lignin value-chains investigated within LignoCOST , ii/ of the main factsheets for structure and characteristics of industrial and pilot scale available lignins, iii/ of the main concepts and factsheets for anaytical techniques and methods used in the development of new lignin applications * An additional module is an open access for datasets managed by UMR FARE (Reims), describing the physico-chemical characteristics of different lignins, also directly accessible at https://entrepot.recherche.data.gouv.fr/dataverse/lignin_database The content of the book in open access.
