Factors influencing the adoption rate of agri-environmental contracts in Discrete choice experiment: A meta-regression.
Résumé
Our paper is the first meta-regression dealing with the impact of the DCE design on the adoption rate of agri-environmental contracts. Using a database of 60 observations reported in primary studies using DCE approach, our estimates of frequentist and bayesian beta meta-regression models mainly confirm positive effect of incentive clauses and negative effects of commitment clauses found in the literature. We also show that including innovative measures that are costly to implement, in contrast to standard measures that would have been adopted even in the absence of subsidies (windfall effect), strongly reduces the adoption rate.
