This implies the existence of several types of pain, the expression of which varies according to the affected tissue, and the modification of nociceptive perception. The practitioner can attempt to assess the pain by observation of physiological and husbandry criteria, and especially in the field, lesional and behavioural criteria in order to manage the pain and prevent hyperalgesia and decreased performance
